The CSL Behring Junior National Championships

The Junior National Championship (JNC), developed by CSL Behring, is a series of one-day athletic competitions that give children with bleeding disorders and their families the opportunity to enjoy competing in appropriate sports like golf and baseball. In so doing, the JNC program fosters genuine community connections as these children and their families meet and share experiences with one another.

The JNC encourages kids with bleeding disorders, such as hemophilia and von Willebrand disease, to be committed to physical activity to keep muscles healthy and joints strong.

These all-day events give patients the chance to:

  • Meet athletes living with hemophilia
  • Connect with other families
  • Win a trip with their families to the National Hemophilia Foundation annual meeting

Hemophilia Moms and Mom2Mom

Hemophilia Moms is a community of mothers whose children have hemophilia. • Mom2Mom: A program where the online connections you’ve made at the Mom2Mom blog (www.HemophiliaMoms.blogspot.com) become real-life connections. Mom2Mom will put you in touch with:

Important Safety Information

Helixate® FS, Antihemophilic Factor (Recombinant), is a recombinant factor VIII treatment indicated for the control and prevention of bleeding episodes and peri-operative management in adults and children (0-16 years) with hemophilia A. Helixate® FS is also indicated for routine prophylaxis to reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes and the risk of joint damage in children with hemophilia A with no preexisting joint damage.

The most serious adverse reactions are systemic hypersensitivity reactions and the development of high-titer inhibitors necessitating alternative treatments to antihemophilic factor. The most common adverse reactions observed in clinical trials were inhibitor formation in previously untreated or minimally treated patients, skin-associated hypersensitivity reactions, infusion site reactions, and central venous access device (CVAD) line-associated infections.

Helixate® FS is contraindicated in patients who have manifested life-threatening immediate hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis, to the product or its components, including mouse or hamster proteins.
